2021’s end

2021 has been one incredible year for Team Wayne. It was only right I post about the amazing blessings that entered our life this year. The first one that comes to mind is definitely Nolan, our newest addition. Nolan has brought a joy to our family that we have never known. The big kids absolutely adore him and, when they say you can’t remember life before them, it’s 100% true.

Real Estate has been good to us this year as well. We are now up to 9 flips total and can’t possibly be more grateful for selling and profiting from all 9. We began our BRRRR journey this year as well. Originally, Sean’s goal was to begin our first BRRRR in January of 2022, but very much like him, he has already crushed that goal by ending this year with not one but TWO rentals in place with a THIRD closing soon after the new year.

I wanted to give y’all a little taste into the future for what is to come for S + A. We’ve decided to extend our real estate reaches a little further by “dividing” the business into two “strands.” The first will continue to be house flipping. We’ve brought an incredible employee and FRIEND onto the team full boar for this coming year as project manager of the house flipping projects for 2022. Sean will pour his energies into building our rental portfolio and get that much closer to financial freedom.

We’ve always had the number TEN as the lucky number of rental properties for “financial freedom” for our family. Approximately ten rentals will, hopefully, cash flow enough money to allow our family to “live for free.” This is how most real estate investors define financial freedom as “ cash flowing enough money to cover your daily living expenses for the foreseeable future.” This idealism gives one the feeling of “living for free.” When one covers their personal financial responsibilities with funds from rental properties, a house flipping business, or any other means that sends positive cash flow in your direction, you have achieved financial freedom and ultimately now have FREEDOM OF TIME (the true reason for why we do what we do).

Freedom of time is the reason why we do what we do. We began our full time business two short years ago with the ultimate goal of one day being able to give all of our time and mental energy to our family and less and less to our financial stresses.

BRRRRing and house flipping have so far given to us exactly what we had hoped and prayed it would! It has given us financial stability, a creative outlet, entrepreneurship, a community, a support group, friends, and a pathway toward financial peace.

Here are two sneak peaks of the two rentals properties we are currently working on. In real time, both properties are well on their way and we can’t even wait to reveal the beauty of them that is to come. The “Mini’s” are two tiny properties (equaling one in cash flow) that we are using as rentals. They are only approximately 1,000 square feet each! The minis will be our third BRRRR to begin 2022.

Granby (above) will hopefully be finished in the next week or two. I have been posting on Instagram as many live updates on this property to our story and highlights (look for Granby Highlights). Granby and Barney will be our two BRRRRs for 2021.
